Ride today

Today I went for another ride. Again I rode with Philip. This ride we only went about 15 miles. By the time I was able to get to his house it was about 90 degrees. It is really humid today as well. The course we took today had more hills then normal. I didn't really have to much of a problem but was struggling at the end. Well the training will continue.

Training

Well I have had 3 training sessions so far. The first one didn't go that well. I got a little zealous and went to far. On the way back I had cramps in my quads and couldn't continue. I had to have a friend come and get me. The next rides including today's went well. I am up to about 20 miles but need to do so much more. I am working towards going to my inlaws house by the end of the month. That is about 40 miles. Pray and donate.

MS 150

This blog is going to become my tracking for my progress towards my goal of riding in the MS 150 this year. The Event is September 8 & 9 and I have started collecting money and started my training. I can ride up to 30 miles already without any problems. ( I have not tried to go any farther) I plan to spend my time trying to eat better as well as ride farther of course. My days off will be used somewhat for long rides. Also a friend has invited me over to do some training on the stationary bike.

The money I raise to fight MS is very important and I don''t want to forget that however, This training and ride are for me and the chance to be healthier and loose weight. This is my ultimate goal to change a lifestyle that I have had for most of my adult life.

Update

I know it has been a long time since I updated and sometime I will have to finish the Fajita story but just have not had the time. It has been crazy busy around here between Dance classes and baseball/softball practices. We had one of the hardest winters with illness in our house. We have had strep 3 times, the flu, and a number of colds. We have moved on to allergy season now and its not any better. Thank goodness for Benedryl.

I am always trying to work on my website and get it better. Feel free to visit it anytime. Learn to Read at Home
I just had an opportunity to trade out some work to get someone who can help build the site, so I took this opportunity to do this.
